At Free Tide Area, we’re as committed to your satisfaction as we are to finding the perfect break. If your gear doesn’t meet your expectations, we’ll help you return or exchange it within 15 days of receiving your order.

Surf’s Up Note:

For hygiene reasons, swimwear (found under our “Swim” and “Womens”/”Mens” categories) must be returned with original tags attached and in unworn condition. Wetsuits must be clean and free of sand or saltwater residue.

How to Return or Exchange

Step 1: Contact Our Crew

Email our customer service team at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order with:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return/exchange
  • Reason for return
  • Whether you prefer a refund or exchange

Step 2: Wait for Approval

Our surf-savvy customer service team will respond within 24 hours (unless we’re catching waves) with return instructions and an RMA number.

Step 3: Ship It Back

Package your item(s) securely with all original tags and packaging. Include the RMA number clearly on the package. Ship to:

Step 4: Receive Your Refund or Exchange

Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 5 business days):

  • Refunds: Processed within 3 business days to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Exchanges: Shipped within 2 business days via your original shipping method

Important Details

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error. For exchanges, we’ll cover the shipping cost to send your new item.

Non-Returnable Items

For safety and hygiene reasons, the following cannot be returned:

  • Opened or used swimwear (must have original tags attached)
  • Wetsuits showing signs of wear or saltwater damage
  • Sale items marked as “Final Sale” (found in our “Wetsuit Sale” category)

International Returns

We accept returns from all countries we ship to (except Asia and certain remote locations). Customers are responsible for any customs fees associated with returns.
